Whiskey Tango Foxtrot – The Daily Rant

To say that life is getting more complicated every day would be a gross understatement. We are all constantly inundated with a steady stream of emails and phone calls, many of which we can’t deal with in real time. But when we do find the time to review and clear out backed up messages, why is it so hard for people to acknowledge that they received your note, text, or voicemail?

The answer is, it’s not hard at all but many people have forgotten the common courtesy of acknowledging a communication or saying a simple “thank you”! I am not suggesting that this be done on every single message but it makes complete sense on those that are time or content sensitive. Take the extra 10 seconds to respond to an email or voicemail, the sender will appreciate it and it will reduce the quantity of follow-up email you receive.
